The Buzzards: an Imaginary Blues Band
“…located along the boardwalk in downtown “Seabrite, on the Joisey shore, home of the 5 cent beer, women and lowly blues…”. well, this is the mindset offered by this interesting group of wannabees (except for one professional who keeps as low key as possible) who create a wonderful parody of the blues performed of days gone by, or at the very least how they envision it; “if only they could play it.” Too bad their talents aren’t quite equal to their vision, but they more than make up for it with energy, enthusiasm, satire and style. They perform in secret and only to a lively, yet apprehensive, private audience. Occasionally, a “celebrated” guest might be asked to perform, but then that guest usually requires maximum coaxing and sometimes provoking or pulling. What follows is a very lively rendition of the blues, lyrically inspired by the mood of the moment, involving the singer’s spinning a tale of “..walking down by the river…”.
No, you won’t find them performing at the The Turning Point in Piermont, New York, nor any other venue of similair stature for that matter, but more than likely, if you are ever invited to their private studio (shared of course, with a very prominent rock band) the experience would be like winning the lottery.
If you are in the neighborhood and lucky to be invited, they will be playing this Saturday, at an “imagination” near you.

This sounds like a hoax.
