I liked this film for many reasons chief of which is because I had a similar experience with an older woman. Expertly cast which was ideal for this little known story about a young man who gets to nearly have his way with none other than Marilyn Monroe for a week. Michelle Williams was a good choice to play Marilyn. She more embodied the spirit of the afore mentioned than actually looking like her. I recently viewed The Prince and The Showgirl and was really bored by it but this film about the making of that film was far more enrapturing because of all the intricacies in making even not so good films. On March 15, 16, and 17th eighteen women from all over Rockland County will be performing monologues about vaginas. The approximately hour and a half performance is part of a worldwide movement to end violence against women and girls and is a part of V-Day. The women span in age from 18 to approximately 65. The facilitator, Arielle Bareket, grew up in Suffern and her Dad is a gynecologist in Tallman. Arielle’s Mom, Kathryn, is a mother of three daughters and a son.
